Fabric Sourcing Specialist

A Fabric Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and procuring high-quality fabrics for garment production. This role involves building relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Researching and identifying potential fabric suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Fabric Sourcing: Sourcing fabrics that meet specific quality, color, and performance requirements.
  • Negotiating Terms: Negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery times, and payment terms.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that sourced fabrics meet quality standards through inspections and testing.
  • Managing Fabric Inventory: Maintaining accurate records of fabric inventory and ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Staying Updated on Industry Trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest fabric trends and innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of fabric types, properties, and sourcing channels.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
